"A bunch of us were sitting around and reminiscing" about the Madison music scene of the late 1960s and '70s, WMAD-FM project director Jerry Goeden tells staff writer Kent Williams. "We thought, 'Wouldn't it be great to bring everybody back?'" There were problems, he allows, tracking some people down. "But whenever we talked to someone, they usually led us to someone else." The result is the Mad City Music Reunion, scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Festival of the Lakes on the Capitol Square. On tap: Circus, Falcon, Bowery Boys, Chicago Daily Blues, guitarist Junior Olson, bassists Bruce Alford and Gary Zappa, drummers Rick Becker and Clyde Stubblefield, and percussionist Pauli Ryan, with Mark Davini and Jeff Ross on keys. "The list has now gotten so long," says Goeden, "we could put on a show all day and still not get everybody in." Goeden is now special projects manager for WIBA-FM, WMAD-FM, Z-104 and The Mic 92.1.
