Isthmus Green Day is back! The fifth annual environmental expo runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Monona Terrace in downtown Madison More than 100 exhibitors bring out the greenest ideas for your home, energy efficient transport for your commute, alternative medicine for your body, tantalizing treats for your tastebuds, and just about a zillion ways to otherwise green up your life. Admission is free, courtesy of MG&E.
This year's expo features Mark Bittman, New York Times opinion columnist and author of How To Cook Everything, an Upcycled Fashion Show, and a Pop-Up Gallery of Recycled Art, plus kid-friendly activities, a Madison Metro bus, and so much more.

Getting here: Monona Terrace is on the shore of Lake Monona, with entrances from Wilson Street (two blocks south of the Capitol Square), John Nolen Drive, and the Capital City Bike Path.
