Bebe Goes Shopping

Here come Bebé and Mamá to the supermer­cado! All this happy baby really wants from the grocery store is a sweet treat to eat, but Mamá has a shopping list to follow. After a little bit of mischief, a box of animal crackers occupies Bebé right through to the final shopping decision: "Paper or plástico?" Typical bilingual books feature a double-text, one language followed by a full translation. Elya's trademark style is to blend Spanish words into an English story. The result is an easily understood bilingual tale, with the reader (or listener) gaining comprehension through context, illustrations (by Steven Salerno) or direct definition.
