Despite the arctic blast, Forons abandoned attacks on the weather, instead advocating for Israel, Palestine, and Egyptian cotton sheets.

I was going through my cup of old drink chips, realizing I'll never remember to take them with me, even if they were in the car. I was also getting ready to go to woodman's (east). Kinda bored. So I've hidden a couple of them there in case anyone's broke and thirsty.
Large drink @ crystal corner- candy isle, product named SNAPS. Smaller boxes displayed in a tray box. Laying flat in the front of the tray box.
Beer @ Great Dane- Above the cans of Sylvia's Mustard Greens, feel behind the bottom of the front edge of the shelf.
I thought I had three, but only two, so I also hid a crisp George Washington under the last bottle of institutional sized Cattlemen's Smokey BBQ Sauce.
The Daily Show: Madison remix.
Madison filmmaker gains momentum with youtube newsreels...

The Black and White News is a satirical newsreel released ever friday on Youtube. It is produced right here in Madison!
This week's news reel is about the conflict in Israel and Palestine. It is edgy, witty, insightful, and at times hilarious...at the very least it is a point-of-view yet to be discussed.

So show some support for your local filmmaker and click on the link, forward it to friends, and leave him some feedback right here on the daily page forum.
The creator of the Black and White news will be reading your replies every evening. And don't be shy about giving him ideas for future news reels!
Thanks and have a good week!

Why? Why, for the same reason we in our household invest $85 dollars each for our 800 thread-count Versailles Egyptian cotton serviettes ("napkins" to the rest of you.) For the uninitiated, trying to explain how they intuitively conform to the lower visage is pointless. Do you have a provocative philtrum? Worry not that it's appealing contours will be distorted by these exceptional linens. And absorbent? Words cannot convey!
We entertain often and, needless to say, these babies aren't subjected to the brutal treatment of laundering. Not more than once a year, in any case and even then we have them done by the French Laundry in California, as their experience and care is unsurpassed. When returned, neatly folded, they still smell like home.
Maybe they're on a Megabus to the inauguration.
Dónde están los coots?

Today, riding the 38 to work, we were passing the big patch of open water where the MG&E effluent pours into Lake Monona just down the street from B. B. Clarke (forever beloved by long-time east side residents as the place where the 500lb. ball of fat washed up on shore).
Something seemed wrong with the scene, somehow. And then it hit me:
Where are the frickin' coots?
Last year at this time the same patch of water teemed with cool little black and white birds, doing their wierd little head-bobbing scoot across the open water. But today? Totally cootless.
I figure Obama's gotta be behind it - but how? Did he enlist Bill Ayres in his diabolical plot to de-cootify America's heartland? Is this change we can believe in?
I ask you, Mr. Obama - what did those cute little coots ever do to you?
Smug elitist bastard...
It's bad, but it could have been so much worse.

Re: More Prison Expansion?!?

Here's an easy one I'm willing to bet few would disagree with:
Stop locking up non-violent offenders for petty drug charges. Specifically marijuana users caught with extremely small amounts. The current WI law says 2nd offense marijuana possession - no matter how much (i.e. 1 joint, 1/2 a joint or even less) and regardless of how far back in time the first offense was (10, 20 years), is a Felony carrying a 3 year prison sentence. And that is what people face unless they can afford a high priced attorney.
And people wonder why the state has a $5.4 Billion deficit.
Foron battles aren't always a power play.

I think International attention is long overdue, don't you?
We've allowed Israel to run their concentration camp unfettered for 42 years now. Maybe it's time for Israel to follow International laws?
How would you respond to people bulldozing your homes, illegally settling on your land, restricting your water, and stealing it, so many check points that a 10 minute journey may takes a couple hours, shooting kids in the back of the head, allowing no airports, or seaports, and wiping you off the map? Why is the Palestinian response to 42 years of harassment considered aggression? I can't say how I'd feel if I went through what they go through daily over there. Can you?

Maybe somebody should advocate the end of rocket launchings into Israeli territory. Maybe they should acknowledge Israel's right to exist.
Anyone hear of cause and effect?
How would you react to random rockets being fired into your neighborhood? Give me your address if that's just fine with you.
