Today's image is titled celebrated the big 5.0 last Thursday at the High Noon Saloon Happy Hour in high fashion. The Motorzversary, as the band called it, featured two hours of their garage-rock power pop, much of it early material rarely played nowadays.
"This happy hour show to celebrate the five-year anniversary of local rock band the Motorz actually felt more like band practice than an actual show," writes Kiki Schueler in her review of the party. "Who cares that it wasn't terribly professional; it was ridiculously entertaining and completely hilarious. And that may be what I love most about the Motorz--they make me very happy." On Thursday, April 19, the band will play at the Club Tavern in Middleton. Two nights later, they'll join National Beekeepers Society, the Lee Rays, and the Von Ehrics at the King Club for a springtime rock 'n' roll extravaganza.
