Today's image is titled "A capital flock" and was photographed by Kristian Knutsen.
The light rain that started early Wednesday morning may be an annoyance to the throngs of renters switching apartments in downtown Madison today, but it's a welcome shower for the flora and fauna that have been left dry through most of the summer. A large flock of chimney swifts circles the Capitol dome in this photo, gliding through the rain to create a welcome if temporary visual addition to the city's best-known landmark.
