Christmas lights season is in full swing, and the biggest and brightest displays are attracting plenty of attention as might be expected. This particular electric spectacle is located on Upham Street in Emerson East, a familiar vision of holiday cheer in the neighborhood for more than three decades.
Featured in a Madison Snap last year too, this house led a list of conspicuous electric Christmas visions profiled in the Wisconsin State Journal on Saturday. Centered around a plastic Santa-and-his-sleigh set of figurines landing upon the roof of the front porch, this house owned by Bill Spencer includes "roughly 17,000 lights" and dozens of other glowing holiday creatures in its exuberance. Wow.
