Today's image is titled Madison Goes Red for Women and was photographed by Karen Darcy.
The photo shows the state Capitol dome as seen through the evening and night of Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 (that is, Valentine's Day). Though timed to coincide with the holiday, the dome was illuminated as part of a program called for viewing. The display was an irresistible draw for local photographers, with others capturing snaps of the dome and its reflections from a variety of perspectives. They can be viewed , and about the lighting at a Madison Flickr group.
