This photo shows a Samoyed named Dougal nearly hidden in a snowdrift on the near east side of Madison. Another major dousing of snow was forecast for southern Wisconsin on Monday evening and on into Tuesday morning, but this storm passed to the south of the state, with only 0.3 inches of precipitation recorded in the Madison area. Plenty of snowcover from all of the earlier storms remains, with levels of about 10 to 15 inches seen around Dane County. The total for the year, meanwhile, is at 87.0 inches, only a couple storms shy of the century mark. Nothing big is forecast in the near term, though more light snow is possible throughout this week.
