Skiing the skyline
Today's image is titled "Skiing the skyline" and was photographed by Kristian Knutsen.
Summer is underway, particularly in and around the lakes of Madison. While they are already bearing their peculiar green patina and accompanying odor -- with more than three weeks to go until the official start of the season -- their waters are also thick with people fishing, waterskiing, and simply enjoying the city's most visible defining feature. This photo was taken of a waterskier practicing on the Lake Monona course adjacent to John Nolen Drive, framed by the classic skyline view of town as seen from that approach.
