three bucks
Today's image is titled three bucks and was photographed by Beth McConnell.
Wisconsin's deer hunting season began on Saturday, Nov. 18, and will last nine days through Sunday, Nov. 26. Besides serving as a means for procuring protein, the deer season also serves as a major cultural and political activity in the state. Both Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz and Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk promoted their plans to hunt following the conclusion of their respective 2007 budget deliberations. No word yet from the mayor about his luck in the hunt, but Falk reporting bagging a doe over the weekend. More information about the various state hunting seasons is available from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
