Black Monday morning
Today's image is titled Black Friday morning and was photographed by Kenneth Burns.
The unseasonably warm weather is contributing to the heavy traffic of shoppers around Madison this Black Friday. Well before sunrise, in a scene that dwarfed the queues forming for the PS3 and Wii releases -- at least in terms of size if not length of wait -- crowds were forming at the front doors of various big box retailers in town. This photo shows people waiting to get into the east-side Target early this morning.
