Mark Sadowski
West Washington
Today's image is titled West Washington and was photographed by Mark Sadowski.
This photo was taken from the observation deck of the Capitol rotunda in the center of Madison. The road forming the axis of the image is West Washington Avenue, which runs southwest from the Capitol Square before its terminus at Park Street. The two buildings dominating the right edge of the photo are the Metropolitan Place condos and a brutalist concrete structure oftentimes known as the AT&T building. In the distance are the valleys home to Lake Wingra and the Beltline highway, separated by part of the UW Arboretum.
Sadowski also shot several other photos from the Capitol's observation deck, including views of Martin Luther King Boulevard, East Washington Avenue, and John Nolen Drive. More of Sadowski's photography is available at Pixelated Imagination.
