Phil Ejercito
Today's image is untitled and was photographed by Phil Ejercito.
This photograph is but one of uncounted scenes that used State Street as their stage during the Halloween parties in Madison on the night of Saturday, Oct. 28. Dubbed "Freakfest on State Street," the party was much smaller than in recent years -- about half the size -- and ended without the police using pepper spray upon the crowds at the end of the event. One of the biggest changes this year was the addition of a fence and admissions system, something fairly unpopular as evidenced by the smaller numbers of revelers. Three persons who did attend, though, expressed their thoughts about the event via their costumes, posing happily with police here on the 500 block of State Street. Photographer Phil Ejercito was the founder of CRASH Madison, a system that provided regular text message updates over the weekend for subscribing revelers.
