Fall colours on the way to work
Today's image is titled Fall colours on the way to work and was photographed by Roz Almond.
Fall colors are exploding right now, just as they are seen in this photo of Lake Monona from the autumn of 2005. Foliage is approaching peak colors in south-central Wisconsin, as the yellows, oranges and reds take over deciduous trees and shrubs for a brief but glorious time. Though recent stormy weather has already resulted in the shedding of many of the dead and dying leaves, many remain, and should continue to reach their peak in the next couple of weeks. A map of current fall foliage conditions displays the situation as of Oct. 4, which don't contrast too much with the normal foliage conditions.
