I apologize if this is old, settled news, but I feel the need to comment yet again on the mudslinging between Ron Johnson and Russ Feingold. After reading the entire transcript of the interview in which Johnson allegedly implied he favored drilling in the Great Lakes, I have come to the conclusion that the Feingold ad which suggests that is misleading.
Here's Too bad. As a fan of what Feingold has stood for throughout his career, I hope his attacks in the future stay a little closer to the belt. A more accurate ad could have asked "why won't Ron Johnson promise there will be no drilling in the Great Lakes?" By the way, I would highly recommend some of these fact-checking sites for you political junkies. In addition to the public service they provide by highlighting how far away rhetoric lives from reality, they're quite amusing. Check out PolitiFact to see them rate the truthiness of various political statements throughout the day. And in other news...There's nothing like a Mountain Creek at 3 pm.
