A great graphic and great article for this week's Isthmus cover story on Dane County Republicans, in which reporter Sally Franson takes an inside look at the invisible elephants in our midst.
Two quotes worth mentioning.
The first comes from Franson: "Republicans here are warm, generous, thought-provoking and at times outrageously offensive like lots of other people I know." Fair enough
The second was a gem from Republican Party Chair, Mike Herl. "I love Sean Hannity...and Hannity's saying that if you are a Republican in Wisconsin, this is the year to run. The tide is turning!"
Rush Limbaugh may be evil, but he is a genius. Sean Hannity is probably an OK guy, but as one right-leaning friend of mine once put it, he appears to have the IQ of a goat. I think a sheep would be a slightly more appropriate comparison. If any were animal able to eat and digest talking points with such ease and then shit them out in front of gaping onlookers at a right wing petting zoo, it would be a sheep.
Hence, the Dane County GOP will continue to be to the Democratic Party what Sean Hannity is to Rush Limbaugh: A pathetic sidekick who will never compete.
