City of Madison
The City of Madison Parks Division just faxed over a reminder that tomorrow -- Friday, Dec. 29 -- is the deadline for buying 2007 season passes to the Goodman Swimming Pool at 2006 prices. After the office closes tomorrow afternoon, you can expect to pay more for the privilege of enjoying the facility's second summer.
Season passes for 2006 cost $30 for the Youth Pass, $135 for resident Madison families, $275 for non-resident families, $50 for resident adults, $80 for non-resident adults, $40 for resident seniors and $70 for non-resident seniors.
Rates for 2007 will rise $5 for the Youth and Senior Resident season passes, and $10 for the other season passes. In addition, new season passes are being introduced in 2007 for resident and non-resident senior couples, at $65 and $120, respectively.
Season passes grant access to the Goodman facility's eight-lane, 25-meter lap swimming pool, two water slides, diving boards, shallow-water play features for preschoolers, and other amenities, such as the sandy play area, changing rooms, deck chairs, umbrella tables and shaded structures.
But the clock is ticking for anyone who wants to buy a 2007 season pass at 2006 rates. The discounted season passes are available for purchase 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 28-29, at the Madison Parks Office in the Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Suite 120; and by phone, with a credit card, at 266-4711 during the same hours.
