So go the opening lines to "Making Our Dreams Come True" as performed by Cyndi Grecco in the theme song to Laverne & Shirley, the Happy Days spin-off also proudly set in Milwaukee. A long-time pop culture touchstone, the song has been belovedly covered and parodied by many, including Madison's own pop-punkers PINE.
Their brief music video tribute to the second TV show to make Milwaukee famous follows below.
Shot in early months of 2006, the video features all five members of PINE as they embark upon and complete a road trip to a gig complete with a big bottle of JÃgermeister. More of their music is available at their MySpace page, but if you want to see them live, they're next performance is at the Club Tavern in the early afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 11. The show is a benefit to raise money for Reja von Klopp, a baby girl who in critical need for a liver transplant.
