Idiosyncratic singer-pianist Regina Spektor made a much-anticipated Madison appearance last Tuesday, playing to a crowded Club Majestic. The Oct. 17 show featured an opening set from fellow New Yorker Only Son before Spektor took the stage, alternating playing solo and with backing musicians in the dance club that's increasingly repositioning itself as a concert venue. One fan attending the show shot footage of five of Spektor's songs from the rear of the oddly-shaped room, and subsequently spliced the best bits together into a short concert montage.

In addition to the videographer responsible for this clip, there were a few concert attendees writing enthusiastically about Spektor's show. One highly praised Spektor as perfect in her lyrics, style, voice and talent on the piano, while another provided a full set list after commenting on the "amazingly diverse crowd."
One final fan described the show as "absolutely fantastic," praising both Spektor and her backing musicians:
Regina was 500% more charming than on her records, which, if you've heard her, is really saying something. She was absolutely delightful tonight, apologising for her (really not at all bad) guitar playing and happily cursing when she messed up one of her last encore songs. She played about a third of the show by herself, then brought on a band -- a bunch of session musician schmucks who looked like they should have been in some crappy top-40 radio band. But they knew how to play instruments, and gave our dear Regina the ability to really rock out on some of the cuts from Begin to Hope.
