Sorta Like Very Ultra is the tentative title of the album currently being completed by Tangy, Madison's psychedlic indie quartet of self-described "aggro-poptarts." Set for mixing by Mike Zirkel at Smart Studios at the end of December, the album is currently scheduled for release in early 2007. One of the tracks to be included on the album is "Captain America," a song Tangy has performed live for well over a year.
The video was directed and edited by freelance video producer Ken LaBarre, the member of Tangy who is better known as The Jammy Bastard. Alongside Jammy's work with the vocals and guitar, Tangy features Michael Patrick on lead guitar, Ryan Byrne on bass and Mike Pflieger on drums.
The footage for the "Captain America" video was shot at Bomblastica 2005.5, held at the High Noon Saloon on Sept. 10, 2005. More details about the show are available in a preview from show organizer Maximum Ink.
