There's no one song on the new Cribs album that's better than their charming 2005 single "Hey Scenesters!" But who cares? The band's sloppy hyperactive charm is still irresistible. Their witty brand of U.K. pop-punk may be predictable, but it predicts a lot of fun. Tongue-in-cheek tracks like "Men's Needs" lead the way on this effort, but "I've Tried Everything" shows an evolving maturity - a quality these twins and their little brother (who got their musical start by singing and banging on their cribs together as babies) will likely resist till the bitter end.
