Just like King Kong, don't need a sweater,
Remember, that when I'm eating your heart,
I'll rip you apart, to eat you better
Hey food, don't be afraid,
I have found you, now you are my dinner,
The minute, I've eaten all of your skin,
Then I'll begin, to eat you better.
These ravenous lyrics could only come from the maws of one band: The Zombeatles! Moaning and wailing through the monster ballad named "Hey Food," the group sets the tone in a teaser trailer for the new film report for The Daily Page. "Gordon encouraged us to go absolutely wild, mimicking the hysteria the erupted when the Fab Four took the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater in 1964. It wasn't long before we turned into a zombie mosh pit, letting our characters get the better of us." Another report on the shoot was published by Kedar Joyner, who likewise participated as an extra.
Reams of ready footage resulted, and the filmmakers got to work at cutting and splicing to bring their new creation to life. Their teaser trailer for the mockumentary follows.
The trailer was cut by Ben Wydeven, whose 2007 film The Medium is screening in the Gordon, Wydeven, Sokolinsky, and The Gomers hope to have a rough cut of All You Need Is Brains ready in time for a Madison Horror Film Festival pre-party at the Inferno this Friday. Whether or not the film hits the screens this weekend, though, the undead will be hitting the streets on Saturday afternoon for the annual Halloween season zombie lurch.
