E for Everyone, the new studio album from Madison mainstay

This seriousness could easily come across as preachy or insincere, if not for the music. The track begins with a deliberate beat that builds tangible tension. Enter Ryan Corcoran, whose strong, epic-quality vocals lend a genuine insistence to the story.

Then suddenly, a minute and a half in, it's all there: the energy, the rock, the Awesome Car Funmaker. As the song explodes into a chaotic anthem, it shows the band at its quirky, wild best.

Without witnessing their unique live show, it's impossible to completely get Awesome Car Funmaker. But E for Everyone and "Divided States of the Absurd" makes a pretty convincing case for their music.
