Basic, bouncy and just trashy enough to make a school boy blush bright crimson, the Cutouts' paean to both the familiar carnival ride and the stomach-churning roller coaster that is love could have been penned back in the halcyon days of Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochrane.
It's not quite rockabilly, but it has an impudence about it that mainlines the earliest stirrings of rock 'n' roll rebellion. It's also not available on disk, but it is posted on the Cutouts' MySpace page. The song is ready for listening there along with a handful of other elemental tracks that sound as if they were recorded in the garage next to granddad's rumbling Cadillac, just after assorted Cutouts were peaking on a 12-pack of Coke.
