Enter the alternate universe of the spelling bee. Six mid-pubescent youngsters duel it out for champion speller in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The musical is hilarious and filled with tween angst and audience participation. Each hopeful youth is trying to find spelling nirvana and avoid the soul-crushing ding of the bell that signals a misspelled word.
