Martin Kasík ranks among the foremost Czech pianists of today. The winner of a number of prestigious competitions, he has appeared in many major concert venues including Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and Finlandia Hall in Helsinki. As a soloist, he has appeared with orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the DeutschesSymphonie-Orchester of Berlin. In 2008, Kasík was appointed President of the Chopin Festival in MariánskéLázn in the Czech Republic. Since 2009, he has taught piano at the Prague Conservatory and presently he also teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
