Sub Pop to release the new METZ album II worldwide May 4th/5th

METZ will release II, the follow up to their critically acclaimed S/T debut on CD / LP / DL worldwide May 4th & 5th through Sub Pop Records. The album, featuring the highlights "Acetate," "The Swimmer," "Wait in Line," and seven others, was recorded at various studios throughout Ontario, Canada, and produced and mixed by the band with assistance from returning engineer Graham Walsh. You can now listen to "Acetate" through this pancake-fueled not-the-video directed by multimedia artist Travis Millard (Dinosaur Jr.).

METZ's 2015 North American and European tour schedule in support of II currently spans February 21st through July 26th. Along the way they'll play shows with Lightning Bolt (April 15th-18th), Fidlar (May 11th-19th; May 21st-30th), Protomartyr (May 1st-2nd), and Bad Breeding (June 16th). The trek also includes a week of shows at SXSW in Austin.

METZ II is now available for preorder through Sub Pop Mega Mart, iTunes, Amazon, and Bandcamp. The limited Loser Edition of the LP on colored vinyl will be available at select independent record stores, megamart.subpop.com, and from the band at their shows, all while supplies last. Additionally, there will be two new T-shirt designs available, both individually and as part of a bundle with purchase of the new record.
