media release: Madison’s newest professional theater company, Fire Light Theatre, presents Acting Dad, an autobiographical solo show written, performed and co-directed by Fire Light founder Dave Pausch. This one-night only event will take place October 6, at 7:30 at The Bur Oak, 2262 Winnebago st in Madison.
What do screaming mice, fatherhood, tipsy first dates, and Little House on the Prairie have in common? They are proof the Universe speaks in some pretty crazy-assed ways. Join Fire Light Theatre founder David Pausch for a night of funny, poignant, and maybe even philosophical stories that might not be universal, but sure do have the Universe's fingerprints all over them.
Fire Light founder David Pausch is a Madison based theatre artist. He holds a master of fine arts degree in theater from Randolph College and has studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. He was one of the cofounders of the Bricks Theatre and has acted and directed on stages across the region.

Fire Light Theatre was founded in 2026 by David Pausch, to continue to grow Madison’s burgeoning live theatre community. Fire Light Theatre is committed to the stories of everyday people:the rural, the working class, the underrepresented, and the marginalized. Our work is grounded in the belief that one human being telling another’s story can move and even change hearts and minds in profound ways. Through the production of classical, modern and new works, we will tell those stories.
