UW African Studies lecture series: "Global Perspectives: Afro-Asian Practices in Dance," by Alessandra Williams (UW-Whitewater).
Alessandra Williams is a 2018-2019 Inclusive Excellence Fellow in Women’s and Gender Studies and Theatre and Dance at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her academic interests include dance, transnational feminism, queer of color theory, and comparative studies of race and ethnicity. In this AFRICA AT NOON, Williams will discuss the intersections between African and Asian bodies, histories, and cultural practices.
