press release: AJR have released the official video for their hit single "Sober Up." Premiering via UPROXX, the video finds the band roaming the streets in their hometown of New York City chasing the reflection of lead singer Jack's childhood self. A nod to the song's nostalgic lyrics, the video subsequently evokes a longing for youthful innocence. "Sober Up" is from the band's acclaimed 2nd full length album, The Click, which features five tracks that have received over 10 million streams including their platinum hit single "Weak."
"Sober Up" by AJR
2017 saw many accolades for the band who kicked off the year by selling out both legs of their What Everyone's Thinking headline tour. The release of The Click generated critical applause from Billboard, Time, Nylon, Paper, Pop Crush, and more and landed the band national TV performances on TODAY and Live With Kelly and Ryan. Later on, they received RIAA Platinum certification for viral hit single "Weak" and were personally sought out by Academy Award Nominee Morgan Spurlock, to record the theme song to his newest documentary Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken!. AJR also penned the theme song for the It's On Us organization and had the honor of performing it at the White House for former Vice President Joe Biden at the It's On Us Campus Sexual Assault Summit. The busy year also included very special performances at The Grammy Museum, The Little League World Series, Austin City Limits, and Midtown Music Festival.
