Alliance for Animals & the Environment Protest

press release: April 18-26 is World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week. This year, we will bring awareness to the conditions of animals in laboratories by having a protest and creating a video that highlights the ways animals are used at Covance, UW-Madison, and Ridglan Farms. We will be shooting our video on Saturday, April 23.

Our plan is to meet in the East Side of Madison (Hawthorne Library Parking Lot at 1:00 pm) in the afternoon and then carpool to a public location (we will remain on public property at all times) at Covance. At that point, we will hold signs with information about Covance, and will say a few words, and then we will observe a moment of silence in honor of the animals harmed in research there. We will repeat this process outside of Ridglan Farms and the Harlow Laboratory at UW-Madison. This footage will be edited and used for the creation of the video.
