Antique & Classic Boat Show

press release: You are invited to take part in the eleventh annual Madison Area Antique & Classic Boat Show. Christy’s Landing Restaurant will again be the site for the show on Saturday, August 6. This location is simply outstanding for the public to view these beautiful boats on Saturday. On Friday, August 5, we will host a boat tour of the Madison chain-of-lakes; including Lake Waubesa, Lake Monona, & Lake Mendota (weather permitting). The tour will break for lunch at the Edgewater Hotel overlooking Lake Mendota and the boat piers and includes a few excursions before heading back to Lake Waubesa.

One of the most important aspects of this show is the majority of the proceeds will go to the Clean Lakes Alliance. This organization is dedicated to improving the lake quality within the Yahara Lakes’ watershed. For 2016, our goal is to raise $5,000 from the public and area sponsors donations.

Awards will be given in several categories including the Best Chris Craft, Best Century, Best Streblow, Best Inboard Motor Boat, Best Outboard Motor Boat, Best Non-Motorized Boat, Best Fiberglass Classic, and of course the “Best of Show”. This will also include the public selecting the People’s Choice Award. This year’s featured boat manufacturer is Streblow Boats.
