Artful Women reception

A surgical waiting area at a busy hospital may seem an offbeat choice for an art gallery, but it makes sense. It’s a great place for art to do what it does: distract, engage, refresh. “Artful Women” is a juried show and sale and a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Women’s Network and University Hospital Art Fund. In a move to someplace more festive than a hospital, the reception will take place 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at State Line Distillery, with refreshments and a virtual gallery slideshow.

media release: Since 1987, Artful Women has celebrated Wisconsin’s talented women artists, providing a unique venue for showcasing their incredible work. From paintings and beadwork to photography, sculpture, and mixed media, artists from across the state come together to create a diverse, month-long exhibition.

Artful Women 2025 will run from November 1 through December 6, 2025 in the Surgical Waiting Area at University Hospital, 600 Highland Ave., Madison. You'll be able to view the exhibition in person at the hospital, and we will also share a virtual gallery slideshow on our website and Facebook page.

Join us on Saturday, November 8, from 4–6PM as we come together to celebrate our incredible community of local artists! The reception will be hosted at State Line Distillery in Madison and will feature a cash bar, light refreshments, and the 2025 virtual gallery slideshow.
