ATHENA Award Nominations

press release: The Business Forum (TBF) has extended the application deadline for nominations to the annual ATHENA Award Program® to November 29, 2016. The Business Forum will host the 20th annual ATHENA Award Celebration on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 to honor those individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community and forge paths of leadership for others to follow.

The ATHENA Award Celebration is also the largest fundraising event for The Business Forum Foundation.  It provides scholarships to Madison area women to advance their professional goals by furthering their education.

The ATHENA Award was created by ATHENA International, an organization dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for women.  In Dane County, the ATHENA Award Celebration is hosted by TBF, a professional businesswomen’s organization that fosters the personal and professional growth of its members and other women.  

Any individual, business, or professional group can nominate an individual for the ATHENA Award. Initial nomination forms are available at www.thebusinessforum.org or by emailing tbf@thebusinessforum.org or by contacting TBF at 608.838.1019.

The Business Forum is a local professional women’s organization that fosters the personal and professional growth of its members and other women through networking, scholarships, mentoring and community involvement. Proceeds from our events go to The Business Forum Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that awards scholarships to high school students and returning adult women who attend college in Wisconsin. Since this event began in 1998, The Business Forum Foundation  has awarded over $330,000 in scholarships.
