We’re going to sing Cathy’s songs to give her a fun night to celebrate the music she’s created while battling cancer these past few years! Join us to celebrate creativity, resilience, and awesome tunes.
Beth Kille: "Beth performs throughout the midwest in multiple ensembles. Old-school fans may remember her from the days with her rock band Clear Blue Betty (2002-2008). Now, you can find her as a soloist (just her and her guitar), as duo (with award-winning guitarist Michael Tully) and with the full Beth Kille Band (including Michael Mood on bass and Tony Kille on drums).
She is a founding member of the acoustic-pop/Americana trio, Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets (with Shawndell Marks and Jen Farley) who have won numerous awards for their tight three-part harmonies and also offer a special show called 'Legends in Harmony: A Tribute Pioneering Women in Music' (featuring songs by Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt and more).
Lastly she has an occasional duo project with her songwriter friend Erik Kjelland (of The Mascot Theory) called Kerosene Kites. Kerosene Kites has released two holiday-themed albums (and two non-holiday records).
These Madison Wisconsin Bands are a must-see for locals and visitors alike!
No matter who she stands beside on stage, Beth is a passionate and engaging performer who enjoys everything from intimate listening rooms, private and corporate events and large festival stages."
Cathy Couture - "Cathy Couture, local singer/songwriter is new to the Madison music scene. She started writing and performing in 2023 as a way to process a terminal diagnosis. This was with the support and friendship of Beth Kille. Kille, a well known musician and songwriter has provided encouragement and accompaniment as a duo and as part of Cathy and the Bad Jacks. Their collaboration has resulted in three albums so far. Cathy doesn’t play out very often, but is always writing lyrics and currently learning the guitar while teaming with Kille on a fourth album."
