press release: Camp - Bilingual Poetry: Codeswitching, Spanglish, and New Wave Latinx Poets

August 5- August 9, 1:00-4:00pm each day at Arts + Literature Laboratory (2021 Winnebago St)  

Join artist Araceli Esparza during this dynamic writing class! The group will learn about new wave Latinx and Afro Latinx poets' work, creating new poems and writing from this inspiration. All reading and writing levels are invited to participate. This fun class is especially appropriate for Spanish-speaking students, but is open to all who show up with respect, curiosity, and the spirit of playfulness.  Afternoon camps are for youth ages 10-14 years; half-day camps are $175 with options to add lunch supervision and morning open art studio sessions for a full day of artmaking.
