press release: Canadian alternative-rock duo The Blue Stones will visit Madison at High Noon Saloon on February 9 as part of their upcoming headline tour with support from JJ Wilde. The band, made up of Tarek Jafar (guitar/vocals) and Justin Tessier (drums/vocals), carry a stadium-sized sound in their live show which can also be heard on their single "Shakin' Off The Rust." The track, which has been making an impact on alternative radio, is meticulously layered with cannon-esque percussion and electrifying guitars, culminating in an inspiring chorus focused on fresh starts. It serves as the first single off the band's upcoming Paul Meany (Mutemath, Twenty One Pilots) produced sophomore album out on Entertainment One later this year.
After cutting her teeth on the road with Incubus, The Glorious Sons, The Struts and Reignwolf and establishing herself as one of rock's most exciting new voices, JJ Wilde is ready to bring her explosive live set on The Blue Stones Hidden Gem Tour. Ones To Watch stated "fierce yet vulnerable, Wilde is an artist that will propel a lost generation into enlightenment and help young listeners discover who they truly are."
She will be opening the show at High Noon Saloon on February 9.
A figure shrouded in mystery and brandishing a new take on lovelorn rock, JJ Wilde is an electrifying combination of Liz Phair's honesty, Bikini Kill's swagger, and young alt-rock luminary Jesse Jo Stark's sound tied together with the sheer bravado only she exudes. On her music, Earmilk says: “It's liberating to be able to listen to her music, knowing that she isn't trying to be anything less than her true self.”
