Bolivian Benefit Dinner
Friends Meeting House 1704 Roberts Ct., Madison, Wisconsin 53711
press release: Wed. Aug. 22, 6:00 – 8:30 pm, Friends Meeting House (1704 Roberts Ct.) Bolivian Benefit Dinner for Friends International Bilingual Center! In 2016, when global warming left the city of La Paz without drinking water for weeks, the Friends International Bilingual Center (FIBC) seized the moment to teach children about the crisis and how they could help. These young people then educated their families and the public. FIBC continues to work for access to water for vulnerable Bolivians by partnering with international organizations. FIBC children’s program director, Emma Condori-Mamani, will join us at this Bolivian benefit dinner to speak about the water crisis and the ir grassroots community response. Dinner is free, but donations are most welcome to benefit FBIC’s work. Info? https://www.fgcquaker.org/
