press release: On Thursday, June 30 at 6:30pm, GSAFE will host a panel discussion on youth incarceration at the UW South Madison Partnership in conjunction with Captured: a traveling exhibition of photographs taken of youth inside the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center.
The discussion will be moderated by Heidi Wegleitner, Dane County D2 Supervisor and includes panelists Jill Karofsky, Executive Director for the Office of Crime Victim Services at the Wisconsin Department of Justice; Barbara McKinney, D1 Alder, Madison Common Council and Restorative Justice Manager at the Dane County TimeBank; Everett Mitchell, UW-Madison Director of Community Relations; and Ali Muldrow, GSAFE's Racial Justice Youth Organizer.
Light refreshments will be provided.
