press release: New Orleans based singer, songwriter and provocative chanteuse Carsie Blanton has announced national tour dates in support of her upcoming album Buck Up, out now.
Blanton has unveiled a new video for the song “Jacket” (from the upcoming album) via social media. In her words, “a silly, sensual, hyper-saturated celebration of a few of my favorite things (hot boys, humor, rollerskating and . . . fruit)”, this video captures her characteristic humor, razor-sharp wit and charm.
"Jacket" by Carsie Blanton
Currently making her home in New Orleans, Carsie Blanton has always been a little unorthodox. Raised on a commune near Luray, Virginia, Carsie was unschooled until she left home for Oregon at age 16 when she began songwriting. Her lifelong love of jazz, Motown, and classic songwriting led to a strict code for what makes a good song: hooks, humor, sex and soul.
