‘Comedy on the House!’ combines two comedy shows for double the laughs.

‘Comedy on the House!’ is a new collaboration of local comedy shows for one night of hilarity. ‘The Vintage Showcase’ and ‘Comedy at 123 Doty’ will both be going on May 31st at the Vintage Spirits and Grill and the Great Dane Pub and Brewing Co.

“The events are both free, and we are bringing in some awesome comedians,” says Spencer Graham one of the event’s co-producers. “Free comedy is rare, and there will be drink specials.”

‘The Vintage Showcase III:Showcase with a Vengeance’ begins at 8:00 p.m. and will feature Frandu, Aaron Haag, Deon Green, Stefan Davis, Bill Gevirtz, Amy Shanker and hosted by other co-producer of the event Martin Henn.

“Bill is the producer of the ‘Shark Attack’ comedy show in Chicago and Amy is a regular at Laugh Factory Chicago and Zanies,” said Henn. “Stefan is a nationally touring comedian, while Aaron, Deon and Frandu are well known local comedians. I am excited about the caliber of a show we are bringing for the audience.”

‘Comedy at 123 Doty volume 5’ will be at 10:00 p.m. and includes Shanker and Gevirtz along with Stevie Crutcher, Aaron Klinger, Anthony Siraguse, Marc Reisner, David Freeburg, David Fisher and host Marty Clarke.

“We have three comedians coming in from out of town, four Madison open mic hosts, and one of the ‘Madison’s Funniest Comic’ competition winners,” said Graham. “We have a tremendous group of comedians for both shows, and it is a great opportunity to enjoy laughs with some of the best craft brews made in Madison! Also, both events are 21 and older.”

‘Comedy on the House!’ events will continue to grace the Madison comedy nightlife. “‘Comedy on the House!’ supports Madison craft brews, service industry specials, bar hopping, taxis instead of drunk driving, local comedy and laughing crowds.” said Graham. “ We will continue to put on events with these tenets in mind.”

Vintage Spirits and Grill is located at 529 University Avenue, and the show will be on the patio. The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. Downtown is located at 123 East Doty Street. The show will be in the rathskeller.
