CommUnity Yoga
media release:
CommUnity Yoga is a monthly event designed to bring our hearts, minds, and bodies together in support of the critical work being done by local organizations that make Dane County a better place to be. On Saturday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m., I’d love to invite you back for our next CommUnity Yoga session, this time supporting Open Doors for Refugees (ODFR).
December is a month of celebration, and together we’ll celebrate the diverse tapestry of people who make Dane County a stronger, kinder, more vibrant place to live. Organizations like ODFR play a vital role. Almost entirely volunteer-driven, they are not only helping refugees meet basic needs, but also exploring support for pathways into the workforce and meaningful employment—key steps toward long-term stability, belonging, and shared prosperity.
CommUnity Yoga is about exactly that: walking through doors of opportunity together, showing up for one another, and honoring those who are doing the hard, hopeful work of building a cohesive community.
A few details about the practice:
What: One-hour(ish) gentle, donation-based flow plus tea and coffee – a space to breathe, to be, and to share
When: Saturday, December 20, 10:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Where: Christ Presbyterian Church, 944 E Gorham St, Madison, WI 53703
What to bring: A mat if you have one (optional) and an open heart
CommUnity Yoga meets on the third Saturday of every month at 10:00 a.m., and I hope this December session can be another chance to come together, support our neighbors, and leave feeling a little more grounded and connected.
I know the holidays can be particularly busy - I invite you to take a pause for self-care and connection. Join us!
I hope to see you there. Registration is not required but encouraged; visit communityyogahub.com.
