media release: con vivo! Presents Spring Chamber Music Concert
con vivo!...music with life, concludes their twenty third season of chamber music concerts with“ Celebration”, featuring music of Mozart, Prokofiev and Weiner. The concert will take place on Saturday, May 30 , 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 1609 University Avenue in Madison. Tickets for the concert are available at the door. General admission is $25 and $20 for seniors and students. The concert will include works that are both familiar and new: the beautiful Clarinet Quinet by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, along with the Overture on Hebrew Themes by Sergei Prokofiev. Rounding out the program is the Madison premier of the Hungarian composer László Weiner’s work, Serenade for String Trio. Weiner was a student of Zoltán Kodály and considered an up and coming composer when his was killed in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Artistic Director Robert Taylor, in remarking about the concert said, “We are concluding our 23rdseason with performances of pieces that are both beautiful and thought provoking. Each is a masterpiece of style with wonderful melodies. So please join us for our spring concert.” con vivo! is a professional chamber music ensemble comprised of Madison area musicians assembled from the ranks of the Madison Symphony Orchestra, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and various other performing groups familiar to Madison audiences.
