press release: This show will also benefit Voces de la Frontera, a non-profit that works to organize and expand the civil rights of low wage workers. Voces de la Frontera believes that all workers have a right to a safe and dignified workplace and that no one, immigrant or otherwise, should be discriminated against in their workplace.
Curt Oren has made a name for himself. After many tireless years of independent touring, spreading a message of self reflection, self care, and social responsibility, his performances have become truly unique in the house show landscape. Curt uses video, powerpoint, and comedy, as well as a baritone saxophone and a few pedals to create a presentation about himself, and on our collective dreams for the future. It's always a treat to see Curt, and we are excited to host him.
Also featuring the fuzzy goth grunge of Wash, one of Madison’s newest treasures. Wash has already been making quite a splash in the local scene with their great look, and great hooks. Closing the bill out is Randal Bravery, the wandering beat master and poet.
