Dane County Area Plan for Older People

press release: The Area Agency on Aging of Dane County (AAA), which is in the process of developing its 2016-2018 Area Plan for Older People, has scheduled two public hearings in October to share information and receive feedback from the public. “The mission of the Area Agency on Aging of Dane County is to advocate for older people in order to enable to maintain their full potential, enhance their quality of life and affirm the dignity and value of older adults,” said Department of Human Services Director Lynn Green. “We accomplish these goals by working to support their choices for living in and giving to our community.”
The Public Hearings will be held:
Tuesday, October 13, 2015, 10:30 am at Meadowridge Library (5726 Raymond Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
Monday, October 19, 2015, 12:30 pm at Mt. Horeb Senior Center (107 N Grove St, Mt. Horeb, WI 53572)
The Public Hearings are scheduled to last approximately one hour. The following services and programs will be specifically addressed: elder justice, elder nutrition, healthy aging, services in support of caregivers, and services to people with dementia. Participants are also welcome to bring other issues to the discussion. Starting October 5, 2015, another way to provide input is to visit the following website www.surveymonkey.com/r/HN5R87D and complete the survey by November 5, 2015.
