April is National County Government Month, which underscores how counties achieve healthy, safe and vibrant communities. Nationally, 3,069 counties serve more than 330 million Americans to provide essential services.
Dane County provides services from A to Z, the airport to the zoo. In that vein, the County Board will consider several items at tonight’s meeting that demonstrate the wide range of services that county government provides including public safety and criminal justice, human services, public health, public works, conservation, economic development, culture, education, and recreation.

· 2023 RES-340 Approving Agreements For An Affordable Housing Project At 322 East Washington Avenue In City Of Madison DCDHS - HAA Division
· 2023 RES-352 Amendment To The Agreement For The Engineering, Reconstruction And Maintenance Of Cth D/Fish Hatchery Road In The City Of Fitchburg
· 2023 RES-370 Award Of Contract For Black Earth Creek Channeling Restoration

“County government touches almost every resident’s life in one way or another,” said County Board Chair Patrick Miles. "As an elected official, it is my responsibility to protect our residents' health, well-being, and safety as we make our decisions.”
Tonight’s 7:00pm County Board meeting is the last meeting of the 2022-2024 County Board term, where ten County Board Supervisors will be leaving the County Board. The 2024-2026 County Board will be sworn in on April 16. The agenda for tonight’s meeting can be found here:
