Free tips and screenings for all ages
TUESDAY, MARCH 28 • 12:30 AM to 3 PM • GOODMAN COMMUNITY CENTER
All ages and community members are welcome to attend a free Diabetes Health Fair at the Goodman Community Center. This event is sponsored by the Goodman Community Center and the University of Wisconsin. A low-cost lunch will be offered from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. before the fair starts.

Diabetes Screenings
- Blood Pressure Checks. Know what your numbers mean. Hosted by the UW School of Nursing
- Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessment. Hosted by the UW School of Pharmacy
- Nutrition Assessments. Hosted by the UW Department of Nutrition
- Hearing Screenings and Healthy Hearing Info. Hosted by the UW Department of Audiology
1 p.m. Diabetes, Prevention and Management. Presentation with Q&A by Dr. Eva Vivian, PharmD, Certified Diabetes Educator
1:30 p.m. What Does a Healthy Meal Look Like? Presentation by UW Department of Nutrition students
2 p.m. Diabetes, Prevention and Management. Presentation with Q&A by Dr. Eva Vivian, PharmD, Certified Diabetes Educator
2:30 p.m. Reading Food Labels for Good Health. Presentation by UW Department of Nutrition students

One-on-One Consultations with Nurse Andy Olson, R.N. and Kate Shenker, MSW, from the North/Eastside Senior Coalition
During the fair, attendees will enjoy healthy snacks, door prizes and learn about Goodman Community Center fitness classes, resources for staying healthy, and services available for older adults.
