press release: The Monona Public Library will be presenting a night of disc golf and games for teens at the library, complete with free Glass Nickel pizza. The event takes place on Friday, July 22nd from 5:45pm-7:45pm. This ‘Teen Night’ is geared towards those aged 10 to 16, and will also feature Stop Motion video equipment, and Origami activities.
Disc golf is a fun and easy to learn game that does not require previous experience or athletic skill. Presenter Brad Wendt, a founding member of the Madison Ultimate Frisbee Association, will give an overview of the basics of disc golf. Participants will be able to practice what they’ve learned by taking part in a mini disc golf course inside the library. Brad has directed numerous Wisconsin State Overall Championships, 8 Mad City Open disc golf tournaments, and many other events.
