RSVP for Discovering Wisconsin's Rich Swiss Heritage
Wisconsin Historical Museum 30 N. Carroll St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
RSVP Required by May 18
Large numbers of Swiss immigrants came to Wisconsin in the mid-19th century, many of them settling in what is now Green County in the state's south-central region. These industrious newcomers thrived, having brought with them Old World techniques for farming, brewing, sausage making, and especially cheesemaking. Discover and learn from the families that are keeping the rich Swiss cheesemaking tradition alive in Wisconsin during this panel discussion and cheese tasting presented in partnership with Fromagination.
